Smoke Alarms

  • Is your smoke alarm beeping?
  • When was the last time your smoke alarm was checked?
  • Do you know a smoke alarm needs to be checked every year, and only has a 10 year lifespan?
  • Smoke Alarms are fundamental to the safety of you and your family, and could well save your home from being damaged or burnt down by giving you the earliest possible warning. In fact, they’re so fundamental that you’re required by law to have an adequate amount of approved smoke alarms in your home.

Approved Smoke Alarms are either mains connected (240V) or have a non-removable, non-replaceable, permanently connected battery with a10-year life.

Regardless of age, smoke alarms need be checked on a regular basis to ensure they’re still working – you can’t just rely on the ‘low battery’ alarm. Smoke Alarms are an integral part of our Home Testing (see Residential Electrical) and Property Management services (see Property Management) .

If you’re looking to upgrade or fit out a new property, SA Pumps & Electrical can help you design and install smoke alarm systems that are 100% compliant to South Australian Government legislation.

Whatever your Smoke Alarm requirements, even if it’s just a beeping alarm, the team at SA Pumps & Electrical are ready to assist.
